The agreement
These terms are between you and [legal entity name] ("we"). They cover the Cinder iPhone app and the website. By using either, you agree to them and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use Cinder.
An early, invite-only service
Cinder is in an early, invite-only stage. Features may change, stop working, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may limit how many pictures you can make. There is no charge while Cinder is invite-only; we'll tell you in the app before anything costs money.
Your account
You need an invite and an email address you control. You must be at least [13 / the age set by legal review], and old enough where you live to agree to these terms. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
How pictures are made
Cinder uses AI to make pictures from details about the book you choose. The pictures are interpretations. They may be inaccurate, may not match the book, and may show things the book doesn't describe. Pictures for a whole book show its world and characters, not a particular event. Cinder may reveal details of a book you haven't reached yet.
Cinder is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the authors, narrators or publishers of the books you choose, or by the app you listen with.
What you add
You're responsible for the text you add, such as a page you type or photograph. Only add text you have the right to use for your own personal reading, and don't add anything unlawful or anything that identifies another private person.
Using your pictures
You may keep, view and share the pictures Cinder makes for you for personal, non-commercial purposes. [Legal review: ownership of AI-generated images, provider terms, and rights in the underlying books and characters. Decide whether commercial use is allowed.]
Pictures of a book's world, and of chapters Cinder found published information about, may be shared with other listeners of the same book, as the Privacy policy explains.
Rules
Don't use Cinder to:
- try to make sexual, hateful, violent or otherwise harmful pictures, or pictures of real people
- break the law or anyone else's rights
- get around limits, sign-in or security, or overload the service
- copy, resell or automate the service, or use it to train other AI systems
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Reporting a picture
If a picture is offensive or harmful, use Report on the picture in the app. You can also email cinder@converra.ai with the book and chapter.
Ending
You can stop using Cinder and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend the service, or your access, with notice where we reasonably can. The Privacy policy explains what happens to your data.

Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect.
